【ハリウッドより愛をこめて】クリスマス・シーズン突入…で結婚式ラッシュ!?

一方この時期、N.Y.のホリデイ・シーズンの幕開けを飾る恒例イベント「Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade」では、カニエ・ウエストがライヴコンサートを行うそう。こちらも盛り上がること間違いナシですね！
おめでたいことと言えば、数日前に歌手で起業家のジェシカ・シンプソンが、恋人の元アメリカン・フットボール選手のエリック・ジョンソンと婚約したと発表されました。実は、この発表のつい2週間前、彼女の元夫ニック・ラシェイが長年の恋人、ヴァネッサ・ミニーロにプロポーズしたというニュースが報じられたばかりなのですが、ジェシカはニックよりも早く結婚式を挙げようと、クリスマスかお正月頃の挙式を計画しているのだとか。あまりいいアイディアとは思えませんが…。
さらに、ようやく結婚式を挙げる幸せなカップルがもう1組…ニコール・リッチーと恋人のジョエル・マッデンです。彼らは12月初旬に、ビバリーヒルズにあるニコールの父、ライオネル・リッチーの邸宅で、75人のゲストを招いて結婚式を挙げるそうです。
ゲストには、サマンサ・ロンソンやクリスティーナ・アギレラも招かれてるそう。ライオネル・リッチーはもちろん娘と共にバージン・ロードを歩き、ニコールとジョエルの娘、ハーロウがフラワーガールを務めます。何てかわいらしいことでしょう！2人はクリスマスを家族で過ごしたあと、ハネムーンへと旅立つとのこと。ロマンティックでうらやましい限りですね！

Hi everyone, well, we are entering holiday season here in the US now, and everyone is getting ready for some of the big holiday movies that will be coming out, including "The Tourist", the big movie featuring Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. Another movie that will be a sure-fire hit is the latest installment of the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", which had its premiere this week.
Meanwhile one of the biggest events that kicks off the holiday season in New York is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and it looks like Kanye West will be there to perform! That should be exciting!
Now speaking of celebrations, it was announced a few days ago that singer/entrepreneur Jessica Simpson got engaged to her boyfriend, former NFL player Eric Johnson. Well, of course a few weeks BEFORE that announcement, it was announced that Nick Lachey, Jessica’s ex-hubby, proposed to his long-time girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo. Now that Jessica is ALSO engaged, she is sparing no expense to make sure that she is the FIRST one to walk down the aisle...and she is planning the wedding for either Christmas time OR around New Years. Hmmm, do you think that is a good idea?
Meanwhile another happy couple that will FINALLY be making the trip down the aisle... Nicole Ritchie and her hubby, Joel Madden!! It seems that they are finally getting married in early December, and will be tying the knot in front of 75 people (including Samantha Ronson and Christina Aguilera) at Nicole’s father’s (Lionel Ritchie) mansion in Beverly Hills. Lionel Ritchie will of course be waking his daughter down the aisle, and Joel and Nicole’s daughter, Harlow, will be their flower girl!!! Awww, how cute! The couple will be spending Christmas with their family, and then take off for their honeymoon! Sounds romantic to me!!!
