【ハリウッドより愛をこめて】新スパイダーマン撮影開始！　豪華共演陣も続々決定

みなさん、こんにちは！アメリカはクリスマスシーズンに突入しています（日本も盛り上がってきていることでしょう！）が、ここ、ハリウッドのスター俳優たちは、来年から2012年に公開予定の映画の撮影のため、大忙しみたいです。その中で、『スパイダーマン』シリーズ待望の第4弾の撮影が、先週の水曜日にL.A.でついにスタートしました。初日は、L.A.のダウンタウンで撮影が行われ、スパイダーマンの恋人、グウェン・ステイシーのお葬式のシーンの収録が行われました。本作では、“新”スパイダーマンがお目見えになりますが、原作ファンのみなさんはお察しの通り、彼の恋人、グウェン・ステイシーが初めて実写版でスポットを浴びます。

ご存知の通り、大ヒットシリーズでこれまでスパイダーマン役を演じてきたのはトビー・マグワイア。そして恋人のMJをキルスティン・ダンストが演じてきました。今回、新たに主役のピーター・パーカー（＝スパイダーマン）を演じるのは、イギリス系アメリカ人俳優のアンドリュー・ガーフィールド。オスカー有力とされる話題作『ソーシャル・ネットワーク』（写真）で、Facebookの創始者、マーク・ザッカーバーグの親友役で一気に注目を浴びている若手俳優です。そして、恋人のグウェン役には、今年の大ヒット作『ゾンビランド』に出演しているエマ・ストーンが抜擢されました。

エマと言えば、ファンの間ではそのきれいな赤髪のイメージが強いですが、原作のグウェンの金髪に合わせて、最近、髪をブロンドに染めました。また、エマはMTVのインタビューで「2人が演じるキャラクターは科学についてとても深い知識を持っているので、アンドリューも私も科学の勉強をしなければいけないの」と明かしました。エマ自身は、自宅学習を受けて育ったそうで、教室で化学の授業を受ける機会がなかったため、とてもいい経験になったのだとか！

一方、アンドリューは、トビーがシリーズ3作で見事に演じきったスパイダーマンを自身が演じることにプレッシャーを感じているようで、先日のインタビューで、原作者で製作総指揮を担当するスタン・リーにアドバイスをもらった、と明かしていました。話によれば、スタンは「（ピーターは）たまたま科学が得意なだけの、普通の青年。世界中の人々がスパイダーマンに惹きつけられるのは、彼がどこにでもいるキャラクターで共感しやすいからだよ」とアドバイスを送ったそうです。そのほか、新『スパイダーマン』に出演が決定しているキャストでは、ウェールズ出身の俳優、リス・エヴァンスが悪役で登場。アカデミー賞受賞女優のサリー・フィールドとマーティン・シーンがピーターの両親役で、さらにデニス・リアリーがグウェンの父親役で登場します。そしてつい先日、『スラムドッグ＄ミリオネア』などで知られる、イルファン・カーンがネルス・ヴァン・アダーというキャラクターを演じ、私の大好きな性格俳優のひとり、キャンベル・スコットが出演することが発表されました。

本作の監督を務めるのは、『（500）日のサマー』でその名を世に知らしめたマーク・ウェブ。もし全てが順調に進めば、映画は2012年7月3日に公開すると監督は発表しています。早く“新スパイダーマン”にお目にかかりたいものです。

Hi everyone, it is holiday season here in the U.S. (in Japan too, of course!) Well, here in Hollywood, our favorite celebrities are HARD at work filming movies for 2011 and 2012...including fan favorite "Spider-Man", which JUST started filming in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The crew’s first day was spent in downtown Los Angeles, filming a funeral scene for Gwen Stacy, the love interest of Spiderman. As I am sure all you comic book fans are well aware, this will be the first time for the NEW Spiderman and Gwen Stacy to be featured in the film.

Until now the international best selling franchise featured Tobey McGuire as Spiderman, and Kirsten Dunst played his love interest.
For this yet-to-be-named Spiderman, Peter Parker/Spiderman will be played by American-British actor Andrew Garfield, who has recently been getting a lot of attention from his portrayal of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s best friend in the best selling film (and most likely Oscar contender) "Social Network". And Gwen Stacy is being portrayed by Emma Stone, an actress that was featured in the big hit from this year, "Zombieland".

Emma Stone is probably known amongst fans for her beautiful red hair, but in order to give a convincing performance of Spiderman’s girlfriend, she recently dyed her hair blond. Emma Stone also told MTV in an interview recently that both her and Andrew had to do alot of studying about science, because both the characters have a pretty good knowledge of science. The actress went on to say that she was home-schooled growing up, and so she never got the opportunity to go to a chemistry class in a "traditional class room" situation, and so she learned a lot!

Meanwhile, Andrew Garfield has admitted to feeling quite a bit of pressure in filling the shoes that Tobey McGuire so brilliantly filled for three movies, and said recently in an interview that he had gotten some advice from none other than Stan Lee, the co-creator of the character. He said that Stan Lee told him to be a "very simple, everyday, ordinary kid who just happens to be good at science." And he said that one of the reasons that Spiderman has so much appeal to people all over the world is that it is easy to relate to him because he isn’t that different from the average guy".

Other actors that have been cast in the upcoming Spiderman include Welsh actor Rhys Ifans as the villan, along with Academy AWard winning actress Sally Field and Martin Sheen, who will be playing Peter Parker’s parents, and Denis Leary, who will be playing Gwen Stacy’s father. And most recently it was announced that Slumdog Millionaire actor Irrfan Khan will be playing a character called Nels Van Adder, and one of my favorite character actors Campbell Scott will also be playing a role in the film.
If all goes well, director Marc Webb (a new director who recently received much recognition for his film "500 Days of Summer" ) announced that the film will be opening on July 3, 2012. Are you as excited about seeing how the NEW "Spider-Man" turns out as I am????
