【ハリウッドより愛をこめて】メッセージ、義援金…セレブたちからの支援の輪広がる
. Well, they produced a 12-hour telethon to raise money for relief efforts, and got some of their popular "friends" to come help out...such as Michael Stipe from rock band R.E.M. All artists donated their time ( and many also donated money) and all the proceeds from the sales of the songs sold will go to the Red Cross.
Meanwhile Universal Music just released a charity disc titled "SONGS FOR JAPAN" featuring Justin Bieber, U2, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Bon Jovi and making a digitally-released recording, for Japan. Another favorite singer/songwriter in Japan, Jack Johnson announced that he will be donating $50,000 of his own money to the cause. And Boys II Men have asked all their fans to help them raise $100,000 by making donations to the REd Cross.
Meanwhile two very popular fashion brands have also announced that they are throwing some of the money into the cause as well...New York Fashion House COACH recently donated $5 million to the American Red Cross.
And a brand extremely popular with the younger crowd, Forever 21, also donated money from its global online sales to Disaster Relief in Japan.
And YES, there is much work that needs to be done, and much money that needs to be raised, but it is good to know that people realize this and are contributing to the massive relief effort.
