助演女優賞は、『ザ・ファイター』で素晴らしい演技を披露したメリッサ・レオに一票！

そして監督賞は『ソーシャル・ネットワーク』のデヴィッド・フィンチャーが受賞する予感がします。気になる作品賞は…、『英国王のスピーチ』か『ソーシャル・ネットワーク』で迷うところですが、『英国王のスピーチ』が濃厚な気がします！みなさんの予想はいかがですか？

PRE OSCAR NIGHT BUZZ...
Hey guys, we are only days away from the BIGGEST night in Hollywood and entertainment. Are you ready???
Well, here is some more inside info into the Academy Awards...

First of all...did you know that the BIGGEST Academy Awards afterparty, The Governors Ball, is actually held right next to the Kodak Theater? It is located at the Grand Ballroom, which is the top level of the Hollywood & Highland Center.
There was a media event recently to announce some of the details of the Governor’s Ball, and I had a chance to go there and report on it for WOWOW television, since I am their LA correspondent for the Grammys and Academy Awards this year.
First of all, the theme for the party is a"the great clubs of the past"...such as the dimly lit jazz clubs that you used to find in the 1920’s, 30’s, and 40’s. And this year music plays a big part of the theme, and Tito Puente, Latin music superstar, will be entertaining the 1,500 Ball guests.

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is catering the event for the 17th year in a row, and he is focusing on healthy and yet savory dishes, including his "smoked salmon Oscar statue", which I got to taste when I interviewed him, and it was out of this world! He also let me try his famous chocolate Golden Oscar statue, and it was delicious as well! According to Wolfgang Puck, to go with the Latin music, he decided to create this year’s menu around Latin flavors...such as paella and coastal seafood. There will also be 1,200 bottles of Moet & Chandon Champagne opened on Oscar night. And at select Wolfgang Puck restaurants, you will be able to actually try the same menu that he is preparing for the Governor’s Ball, BUT for a fraction of the price!!
Another interesting fact is that from last year they started placing an engraving machine inside the Governor’s Ball, so that all Oscar winners could come to the afterparty and get their name engraved in their new statue the night that they win! And according to Cheryl Cecchetto, the producer behind the Governor’s Ball, last year many winners DID come to the Governor’s Ball to get their statue engraved.

NOW...a few highlights on the Academy AWards ceremony itself...first of all...I think that the three big performances to look out for on Oscar night are Celine Dion, who will be performing for the first time at the Academy Awards in five years. Another big performance I want you to look out for is the new darling of the alternative music scene...the Grammy nominated Florence and the Machine. Florence Welch of the band will be performing alongside Indian superstar singer/producer A.R. Rahman, and they will be performing the theme song for the film "127 Hours". Finally, Gwyneth Paltrow will ALSO be singing on Oscar night, and she will be performing the theme song to the film "Country Strong".
FINALLY...as for my predictions...here we go...
Best Actor..this is probably the "most definite" win of the night...will go to British actor Colin Firth for his role in "The King’s Speech".
Best Actress...also a pretty sure bet...Natalie Portman for her amazing job in "Black Swan".

Best Supporting Actor...I think that Geoffrey Rush might actually walk away with the award. Even though Christian Bale is favored to win, the Australian actor has recently been getting A LOT of momentum for his role in "The King’s Speech".
Best Supporting Actress...Probably Melissa Leo, for her wonderful job in "The Fighter".

Best Diretor...I have a feeling that David Fincher might take this one for his wonderful work with "The Social Network".
Best Picture...Even though it REALLY is a toss up between "The King’s Speech" and "The Social Network", I have a feeling that the award will go to "The King’s Speech".What about you? Who do YOU think will win?
